Thanks guys, the wood is scrap from a table project from years ago, I haven't been able to burn any of it. It's got the best chatoyance I've ever seen, it sparkles like a jewel.
Jeff, I agree completely, frames are surprisingly difficult for something so simple. I spend a lot of time on my mitre saw setup, and I shape the outside after glueup, so I only need to worry about the inside profile lining up. Any discrepancies on the outside are removed with final shaping.
Fantastic grain in that cherry Darnell, and the artwork is nice too.
